hello everyone...it's me again, just saying hi. I have nothing to occupy myself with since the Embrace site is down...ahh well.
I just got back from "band" practice...yeah...right..like that's going to work. I spent all this morning perfecting a song I wrote thinking it was going to blow them away...but of course, my friends are stupid hard rock punk freaks..and my song was too mellow for them. Yeah, they were kidding around saying I played folk music with my acoustic...ahh well....was just for fun anyway...
Well, "Robin Hood Men in Tights" is on the TV, so i best be off. ( i love that movie!)Ok, well everyone have a nice day : )

Not sure if i'm sending this to the right person but i would like to say a big thankyou to all concerned who helped me in and out of the quarry. Unfortunately i broke my ankle at Glasto tor and was so devastated but i was encouraged to still go to the gig and i'm so glad i did. The only person's name that i know who helped me (apart from Mickey Dale) is Merlin, he really cheered me up but thanks to everyone.

I am 46 years of age and I went to sg#4 as a driver for my son. May I say how much I enjoyed sg#4, how It was organised, and presented. What a weekend! All the kids say amazing, I say fantastic. Amounts to the same.

the embrace board is still not working. my whole weekend has been spent in a state of nervous tension wondering when it will be back up - well seeing as J is in New York - who knows? they should move it onto this board - so ppl really have to hunt to apply. but HOW good was Danny pulling out his own kazoo! ??

You haven´t seen me in Leeds HHJJ?
Well, I was there, but this time at the other side of the stage. I started somewhere in the middle between Dan and Steve and drifted outwards through the gig until I ended up on edge of the stage. Don´t ask me, how I managed to stay in the first row all the time when left and right to me the blokes were pulled out of the crowed before they collabsed. I haven´t been in such a mash pod since U2 1997 in Nürnberg and the situation was a bit serious a few times, especially for the little Japanse girls who tried to stay for some time after Graham Coxon.
Dan spotted me in the crowd during the gig and I was waving around with the sunflower most of the time.
Beeves I´ve met that day in the field , but no one else, what was a bit sad, because I wanted to thank Milkey for answering my e-mails (this time finally).
I saw you (looking very busy) a few times, but obviously you me not.

The gig was ace. I mean, it really makes a difference if it´s a 'gig abroad' or a gig on homegrounds. And I expected it to be that way, so I really enjoyed it. It´s a bloody good feeling, when a huge crowd sings along and not only 20 people. I wouldn´t wonna miss the 'privacy' of the German gigs either, but Leeds was real good IMO.

The sound was good, at least inside the tent.
I dunno, but this tent had a strange influence on the sound outside and this is definitely not your fault . And looking on Des´es comments...It was rubbish, that tent. Not only for you guys. The only positive thing about the tent was that it slightly saved us from the rain, slightly. But I agree with Dan: we all had belong to the mainstage .

Can you tell me, who maybe can remember the set? I haven´t got a setlist and was a bit to excited to remember any parts of the setlist.

And before I forget. I spoke to Corinna (TM knows her I think) she went to the Bizzarre, but because of the problems with the guestlist she couldn´t get in and stayed outside the doors. She told me, that the sound there was good, when the wind came from the right side. So you see all bad thing come to a good end,
sometimes. Your diary entry about the whole Bizzarre mess was a plesure to read (I´m an engineer and love to read such things) and I felt very sorry for you too. Not that I wish, such a mess would happen again, but the diray entry was worth it, don´t you think?

I´m not sure yet, but it might can happen , that I´ll see the first Barrowlands gig also, so maybe you´ll see me there?

Heylo everyone...i haven't been on here in a while, so i figured i would leave a message for all you lovely people to read.
I am home sick right now...I caught a cold at the Travis concert i went to on the 8th..and I'm telling you...i got it from the band. I wasn't around anyone that was sick, and the guitarist looked a bit pale and like he was about to pass out...and Fran threw out their sweat towels, and one hit me so that's where i got this awful cold. (Well that's what I'm telling myself so I feel a bit better about it all..hahaha)
I'm in a really good mood right now...i think it's cos my best friend just invited me to be in his band and he promised me full control of all the song writting (I love those two words together...full conrol and my name)...so YAY! Our first practice is Sunday, so i better get over this cold real fast so I can sing without sounding like a cat after being hit by a car..
So pray for my strength..haha

Where has all the crew gone? It`s gone strangely quite. Just leaves you and me ay Caroline! Endulging in hot nights in Budapest I shouldn`t wonder. All accept HHJJ that is coz he gets around enough already. By crickey he will stick things in to just about anyones ear-ole so long as they bung him a few quid and a bottle of red. On the recommendation of a few peeps from "the other" messageboard I'm posting the tale of my journey home to Dublin up here...... seems the band and crew are not the only ones with hassle getting to Dublin... (I'm thinking the Witnness Festival here!) Enjoy!

Journey back from SG#4..... what an experience!!!! Hung around the campsite after most people had left.... got a lift with Sprout as far as Newquay.... took the only train that left Newquay that day at 3.30pm thinking it would take us into Bristol. BIGTIME WRONG MOVE!!!!! Train wasn't going to Bristol.... had to get off at Taunton..... thought that would be fine until we realised that the train didn't get into Taunton until 7.30pm!!!!! Decided no point in panicing.... got to Taunton in lovely time.... figured if we could get a train from there into Bristol we'd be sorted... ANOTHER BAD IDEA!!!! Train wasn't leaving Taunton for Bristol until just after 8pm and wouldn't get into Bristol until 8.50pm..... bagan to panic at this time!!!!! Plane was leaving at 8.55pm on the dot and from where the train would leave us we'd have to find a taxi and brave the traffic.... BIGTIME PANICING AT THIS THOUGHT!!!!!! I'd promised my Mum that I'd have Ria home for school on Monday morning and I didn't wanna not come through on that front as my Mum's not a lady to be reckoned with, if ya know what I mean! Decided the only way to go was by taxi.... found cabby.... "£50 to get to Bristol Airport" she says.... checked purse.... only £30 there.... FREAK OUT STATIONS!!!!!! Gotta get to that airport.... talk cabby around and we both leap into the back of car and head off in the direction of Bristol..... promise cabby that I'll send on the rest of the money when I get back to Dublin (which I did yesterday!), promise myself that I'll never drink that much alcohol in my life again EVER (banging hangover y'see!).... drive all around Somerset..... lovely scenery and all that..... arrive at airport..... 8.40pm..... hug and kiss a very bewildered (female) cabby.... leg it into the airport.... check in baggage..... hear our names beign called for the flight.... run up escalator and practically straight onto plane..... 2 minutes to spare..... WHEW!!! Got home safely tho' and now fully recovered....... am BIGTIME ready for SG#5!!!!!

Jesus.... I was 'ere sometime on Monday and there was no pix at all. I've been missing since (probs with my internet connection) and I've just checked now and HAYPRESTO!!!! we're all on the crewsite!!! Brilliant pix HHJJ! Cannot believe the ones of me actually turned out halfway decent... thought the amount of alcohol I was carryin' would surely distort the picture!! Funnily enough I don't remember standing in for the one with Raymond!! I wonder why?!?!? Can't wait for Sg#5 now...... and the Dublin gig in October!!!!! Look out for me, eh?????

Oh.... just one other question.... anyone remembered who walked me back to my tent???????? Just a thought.....

I was just wondering if after the Reading date, you found a Sweep Doll on stage near the drums. I threw it on for Danny but misjudged power, if you did find it, I would appreciate if you gave it to Danny for me, I spoke to him at SG3 and he said it would be cool for me to give to him, but poor throwing stopped that hehe.

I have already spoke to HHJJ about it, cheers for your help.

It was a truly brilliant weekend wasn't it? I can't believe I was there...my whole trip was just unbelieveble...somebody pinch me! For anybody who saw me, I never look that
terrible thought not too far off...the first shower afterwards was the best ever!!!!

Anyway, I'm grateful I was stubborn and slightly obstinate so that no one got me to dance and no one took any pictures of me...yay!
Sorry HHJJ, but there are three things I don't do: dance, sing in public (I can mime though...hahah) and the other stays a secret between me and me.

Further report, I still haven't caught up with the lack of sleep during the weekend but I'm getting there.
