Hi guys,
Firstly Gary, Sam is yummy and what a superb choice of name.
Secondly, to he who knows who he is, just wanted to say thank you so much for passing me the XFM towel from near Mikes kit. As for what I wanted with it... I have collected lots of music memorabillia over the years and it all lives in the bar room in my house. It is kind of my little play/music room which enables the rest of the house to retain a sense of normality.
Finally, can we have some more info about this song written by Lambchop about our Gor. Any chance of putting it on this site as an MP3 so we can hear it? Putleeeeeze?
Thanx for a great gig last night everybody.

hehe, looks like you beat me to putting a msg on here about the gig, Wendy.
Yeah, I'd also like to say a 'wello' to the crew who were present, a thanks to Des for the XFM towel (an unused one I should state!) Also a 'Bye' to Gary as I didn't get to say bye to yer after the gig and 'congratulations' for the little 'un!

Sprout, the Lambchop track that refers to the Embrace crew as far as we know as not been released. Gordon and myself went to see them at Manchester Apollo and before the gig we went for a beer in the pub around the corner from the venue where Gordon was reminissing about the time in Spain when the Embrace crew were collected by a bus which also contained the "Mighty Chop", Gor being the shy retireing chap he is took sometime to go up and say hello to Kurt the singer and tell him that they were his favourite band, Kurt couldn't beleive that Gor had even heard of them nevermind be his favourite band.
Four or five tracks into the set at the Apollo Kurt started to sing a song which went something like "the last time I was here I had a fever" then something about "looking out over Barcelona, on the bus with the road crew from Embrace!!"
Gordon suddenly started to sweat profusely, his glasses steamed up and both our jaws hit the ground.
Gor then said he could "now retire a very happy man" after the show we went up to the stage to say hello to Kurt who had no idea that Gor was there! a major surprise for all.
Hopefully this track will be on the next offering from "The Mighty Chop"
By the way it was me that gave you the towel from Mikes kit, Des is still away with Dave Cave & The Sad Bees and I will be his second in command until he returns to the Embrace drum throne.
See you at SG6 no doubt!!

Said I'd endeavour, here I am. I knew it was you who gave me the towel, just wasn't sure if you would get into trouble for doing it ;O) Thanks for the 'Chop' account I wish I could have been there to see Gor's face, bet it was a picture alright. It was good to see you (and your sidekick, though not sure who he was)last night:O) Going to see if that very dubios email addy actually works now?

Wello crew. Have just checked the diary entry. Now please forgive me for not knowing, but who is 'Lenin'? And his hair and fingernails are still growing??!?! Um, maybe no-one told him he was not alive. Anyways, how are crew at the mo? That's all from me and my irregular banter. (Best piece of wisdom I've read in the past few weeks: Exams are bad, summer is good. Nice n' simple yet true!)

Road Crew Types

Hey there crew types! I'm looking to get into Sound Tech type things and I'm taking a year out this year before going to Uni. Do you know how, if at all possible I would go about getting onto the road crew in any way (I'll even be the poor bugger that has to go get the rider if needed)? It's just I could do with getting some more experience under my belt and there aren't that many opportunities around here. I do have some basic experience in roadie work and engineering at small gigs as well as being the head sound tech at Sandpit Theatre. Any help/ideas you've got would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Apparently you can take coures to gain qualifications as a sound engineer, lighting designer etc at the college in Stockport. I am told it is the only place in the country that specialises in music industry training of this nature.

As a matter of interest , what are all the crew up to at the minute whilst the band aren't touring? Gordon has been spotted flexing his guitar strings on the Witness tour... Will there be any team changes over the close season or can we expect to see the same line up next time?

As you can see, Des is having ein sehr gut time im Deutschland with his new playmates. Hello Des!!! Don't really know what everyone else is up to, I'm still working for Helloween (read the new diary entry) as opposed to Hello you Queen, yeah thanks Des! As far as I know there should be no change in crew lineup for the new season.

Now that its coming up to the festival season again are the crew doing any sort of fitness training to prepare for the next few months, I have heard that some of the crew have to go weight lifting for 6 hours a day every day of the week, I've also heard that the weights are in pints not pounds... but sure what can you do..... anyway good to see that the Boys will be doing witnness (hopefully) I think Ireland is waking up to them slowly... but surely.

Oh yes young man, the crew have already started their rigorous training regime in readiness for the forthcoming festival season. I for one went on a very long run yesterday, the result of which is that I am now unable to walk (this is true by the way!). Des, Gor and Mr Beeeeeever (real name) have also been running but with Marshall 4x12 cabinets strapped to their backs to make it more interesting, and relevant. The boy Abbiss has been made to tidy up his room and put all his Dinky toys away and will be watching no TV until his homework is done. HHJJ is practicing his wine recognition skills whilst blindfolded in a darkened room with a clothes peg on his nose, and Gary (our leader) Robinson is trying to get the smell of poo and sick off his favourite flared trousers in time for Summer. That is all.
